 Why We Became Oblate Partners

To live in a deeper way the Gospel values, and help work to make this world a better place is what the Oblate Partnership is all about.” – John and Gee-Gee Whitehurst

“We became members of the Oblate Partnership in early 2000. We were really not quite sure what we were saying “yes” to at the time, but we are certainly happy we did. Both of us have had our lives touched by one or more Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

Being members of the Partnership has provided an avenue where we can walk along with these Missionaries and in small ways, help in their mission as it provides many opportunities that time, talent and treasure can be shared in fruitful ways.”

The Partnership has also opened doors to meeting exciting and interesting individuals from many walks of life. At the various gatherings, we enjoy seeing those we know, and meeting new Partners. Conversation is lively and the challenge to grow spiritually is always present.

To live in a deeper way the Gospel values, and help work to make this world a better place is what the Oblate Partnership is all about.

The grace of joining with others and partnering with the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate is a powerful influence in our lives.”
