Len Busch was the founder of Len Busch Roses, a Minnesota-based greenhouse business that has become one of the largest domestic rose-growing operations in the United States.
I have met personally with the young children in Africa that my wife and I try to help. But just as important for me, I have met personally with a number of Oblates and other Partners who are very insightful and who have helped me along my spiritual journey.
Len established import relationships for millions of flowers from Mexico and Latin America, which his company distributes in the US. Characterizing himself as a “spiritual pilgrim” He joined the Oblate Partnership shortly after it was formed and later asked his wife, Marge, to join him.
Their travels have taken them all over the world, where they have met people of all ages in all kinds of circumstances, rich, poor and in between.
“When I take the time to think about it, I guess I became a Partner for 3 reasons. First, I feel that each of us, especially if we have some wealth, are called to try and do some good in this life. Second, I wanted a spiritual connection to go along with this “good” that people talk about. And thirdly, I wanted to do all of this at a personal level, and the Partnership has allowed that.
It has all been interesting, enjoyable and a blessing for me and Margie.”
